Not much success with the cars at the speed event. The IC car with the engine running logways stripped the thread on the clutch bell so that was that. I didnt use the right fuel for the other, i used a lower oil content. As a result I seized the engine on a 85mph pass

The big block car was unstable and I had ran out of the extra wide tyres for the rear.

All in all a good learning experiance and I have plenty of ideas for next year

One day.... one day.....

Trust me I struggle a lot also. People see me and think man his cars are always flying. But they don't get to see all of the dissapointments that go along with it.

I started playing with my twin engine set up again, built kind of a test mule to run the engines and try out the drivetrain. If it works well I may just put a body on it and run it as-is.

I took it out to the Street Meet site and ran it up and down the street for a loooong time with both engines running as a team the whole session. Went through six tanks of fuel (three each) and left very happy with the results. With the exception of the pan and top plate, all of the parts are production so if I break anything I don't have to make a replacement. It canspin the tires at will so there's no shortage of power.....time to put in some down force

Instead of fitting a 4 speed gearbox I have installed a dynamic pipe tuning system. This gives me max torque at 15,000 rpm at 330mm and max torque at 26,500 rpm at 285mm. Here is a short video if the mechanism

I'll test it on the engine when I have the rest of the car together

Cheers

Yes, it seems to work ok. I had the car trundling around the road outside. Just waiting for the rain to stop so I can test it out

Cheers
